Helping Hands Inverclyde ltd is a business set up in 2006 initially started as a 2nd hand furniture business we grew rapidly in the area and decided to venture out and become a community shop, the only community shop in Inverclyde. HOW IT WORKS
Helping Hands rely on donations from the public your donations matter not just to us but to the people we support and help. We follow strict guidelines as

set out by trading standards
Our electrical goods are all tested by an electrician before they are passed on
Fire Labels must be attached to sofas or unfortunately we cannot accept them
Our shop managers can provide a list of accepted items when you call. Once we have your goods they will make their way to those who need them.....I have been fortunate to work alongside many agencies as well as self referrals in my time at Helping Hands Inverclyde and that list is ever growing. The sale of furniture enables us to donate money to those in need
we have sponsored rehabilitation activities
donated to foodbank
meadowlark ladies
men shed. to name a few
it has also allowed us to purchase white goods from currys
and we are so proud to work with pypers superstore in argyll street
the lovely lee and team always provide us with a great price when we are in need of furniture for clients
so you see your donations are making a huge difference in Invercylde

Could we please ask all our friends to leave us your feedback on your experience with helping hands, good bad or indifferent over the years, its been a learning experience for us too and we dont always get it right but we always try to learn from our mistakes and grow, im so proud of the work we've done in the community, the people weve helped and will continue to help, we're not a big charity thankfully we are just a team of 4 supported by a local van company who wing it daily, if you choose to support us by donating thank you we appreciate you and if you dont then thats your choice
But we support this community with the help of our donors and our absolutely amazing precious customers

28th July 2026 sees us mark 10 years of Helping Hands, weve had tears, laughter, heartbreak, we've met so many beautiful people in our 10 years and to celebrate we will be having a wee party with lots of freebies for all our lovely loyal customers

We have had so many calls from people asking if we provide cleaning services, helping hands has been established for 10 years and we are in no way affiliated with the company of the same name however we highly recommend carla copeland and her team of cleaners who we have worked alongside many times
