Dark fruits and warming spice on the nose; rich dried figs and dark chocolate on the palate; and a long finish of nutmeg and toasted wood. This Clydebuilt single cask is a 2012 Speyside whisky matured in a cask that previously held Oloroso: the darkest, richest dry Sherry style, renowned for its pronounced nutty and dried fruit qualities.

Most distilleries ferment for around 60 to 75 hours, but at Ardgowan, we ferment for 144 hours. The extended time in our washbacks encourages the development of additional esters and flavour compounds, giving our spirit a fruitier, more complex character from the very start.
