Behind the scenes at Martha & Boo, I'm working on a major shop refresh. Over the next couple of weeks I'll be reorganising categories, updating listings and creating clearer collections for the growing range of Norse, Viking, rune, pagan and spiritual designs, not to mention the personalised jewellery.

Because of this, my dispatch times will be temporarily extended from Sunday 8pm while I work through the changes. Orders are still being taken and everything will still be handmade with the same care and attention as always.

Thank you for your patience as I give the shop a well-overdue tidy-up!

Did you see the stunning moon last night? Couldn't stop looking at it as we came back from band rehearsal. Good job someone else was driving. I'm known for being a chatterbox, but my band mate enjoyed at least a minute of silence after pointing it out to me.

I was inspired to make this simple piece this morning.

Haven’t listed this one yet. Another Wiccan/pagan themed piece featuring a moon, pentagram and horned god. Available on 3mm oval link chain in various lengths, or on adjustable waxed cotton cord. Going to be listing in the next day or so.

For several years, being mindful of the environment I’ve presented my pewter pebbles in recyclable glassine bags rather than the organza pouches that I was using when I first started making them. However, the cost of glassine bags has rocketed. In order for them to be cost effective I have to buy them in bulk, 1000 at a time, which is a big outlay.

Recently I designed these tiny little boxes that can be made on my Cricut. They’re still able to be recycled, even the foiled ones as the foil is so thin it dissipates into the pulp during the recycling process. I can get 10 of these boxes out of 1 sheet of card, from a pad I got from The Range, and they work out at around 1p each, a saving of 5.5p per pebble. With prices increasing so much lately, every little saving helps.

What do you think to them compared to the glassine bags?
