🎉 WE HAVE A WINNER! 🎉

Last week we celebrated reaching 1,000 Facebook followers by announcing that our lucky 1,000th follower would receive a surprise £100 voucher to spend at Bed Centre Grimsby. 💙💛

No competition, no liking or sharing. Just a little thank you for supporting our independent family business.

Well, we’ve found our lucky follower… 👀

🥁 CONGRATULATIONS TO EDWARD HAZEL! 🎉

Edward probably thought he was just following another page. Little did he know he’d just earned himself £100 to spend on absolutely anything in our store! 😂🎁

Edward, please get in touch so we can arrange your prize!

And of course, a huge thank you to everyone who follows us, likes our posts, shares our updates or simply recommends us to friends and family.

It really does mean a lot to an independent business like ours. ❤️

🎉 WE’VE JUST HIT 1,000 FOLLOWERS! 🎉

And somebody doesn’t know it yet… 👀

We could have run a competition and asked everyone to like, share and tag their friends.

But we thought we’d do something a little different instead. 💙💛

The person who took us to 1,000 Facebook followers is getting a surprise £100 Bed Centre Grimsby voucher to spend on absolutely anything in store! 🎁

No competition. No liking and sharing. No catch.

Just our way of saying thank you. ❤️

And while there might only be one £100 voucher, there are 1,000 of you who deserve a massive thank you for following and supporting our independent family business.

We genuinely appreciate every single one of you.

Now… we’d better go and tell follower number 1,000! 😂👀

🤔 WHAT DID WE HAVE THAT TODAY’S KIDS HAVE MISSED OUT ON?

If you grew up in Grimsby or Cleethorpes, think back to when you were a kid…

What’s ONE thing you remember that you wish today’s generation could experience?

Maybe it was somewhere you went every weekend, an attraction on the seafront, a favourite shop, a family tradition… or something that’s completely disappeared.

❤️ What did we have back then that kids today just don’t get to experience?

We’ve got a feeling this one might unlock a few memories…

Let’s see how far back we can go 👇

💨 SOUND ON… WE PROMISE IT WAS THE BED. 😂

Now we’ve got your attention…

🛏️ DID YOU KNOW AN OTTOMAN BED CAN GIVE YOU UP TO 4× MORE STORAGE SPACE?

If you’re struggling for storage, what’s underneath your bed can make a massive difference.

In this video, we compare a traditional divan with drawers to a front-lift ottoman and the difference is pretty impressive.

With virtually the entire area beneath the mattress available for storage, there’s room for bedding, clothes, shoes, suitcases and plenty more.

🏠 More storage without taking up any more floor space.

Come and try one for yourself at Bed Centre Grimsby.

🕰️ GRIMSBY & CLEETHORPES — HOW MUCH HAS CHANGED?

We’ve been part of the Grimsby community for a long time, and it’s incredible when you stop and think about just how much Grimsby and Cleethorpes have changed over the years.

Take the Cleethorpes Winter Gardens.

For generations it was part of local life, hosting everything from huge live acts to the legendary Wednesday Melody Night, better known to most as Bags’ Ball. 🍻🎶

Today, the Winter Gardens is gone, but mention Bags’ Ball to people of a certain generation around here and we’re pretty sure there’ll be a story or two! 😂

And that got us thinking…

What place from the old Grimsby or Cleethorpes would YOU bring back if you could?

A pub? A nightclub? A shop? A restaurant? A music venue? Or somewhere completely different?

👇 Tell us the place and your memories of it in the comments.

We’d love to see just how far back we can go!

And while we’re reminiscing, we’re only 9 followers away from 1,000! If you enjoy our posts and local throwbacks, give Bed Centre Grimsby a follow and help us get there. 💙💛

🔨 GETTING CLOSER… 👀

The new blue is on, more of the frontage is taking shape and the Bed Centre is finally starting to look very different from where we began.

There’s still plenty happening, including more work to the roofline and frontage, so it’s definitely still a work in progress.

But every update now feels like a proper step towards the finished look.

And when you compare this with where we started…

what a difference already. 💙

We asked Grimsby to help us choose the new colour, and now you can really start to see it coming together.

👇 What do you think so far?

😂 MARK’S REALLY GETTING STUCK INTO MATTRESS REMOVAL…

Got an old mattress that’s seen better days?

When you buy a new bed or mattress from Bed Centre Grimsby, ask us about our mattress removal service and we can take your old one away too. 🛏️

No trying to squeeze it into the car.
No wondering what on earth you’re going to do with it.
And no old mattress taking up half the house for the next six months. 😅

We’ll help make replacing your bed that little bit easier from start to finish.

Although judging by this photo, Mark may have underestimated just how many he’d be dealing with… 😂

👇 Be honest, how old is the mattress you’re sleeping on right now?

🎨 THE BLUE IS GOING ON… AND IT’S STARTING TO FEEL REAL. 💙

A little while ago, we asked Grimsby to help us choose the new look for Bed Centre.

You voted.

You had your say.

And now… this is it. 👀

The blue is finally being painted onto the frontage and the whole place is starting to look completely different.

It’s still very much a work in progress, with plenty more to do before the finished reveal — but this is one of those stages where you can finally start to see the vision coming together.

And we have to say…

we think you made the right choice. 💙

👇 What do you think now you can actually see the blue on the building?

💙 Love it
🤔 Still team green
👀 Waiting for the full finished reveal
