⚽ WE HAVE A WINNER! ⚫⚪

Firstly, a massive thank you to everyone who nominated someone for our signed Grimsby Town football.

We read every single nomination, and there were so many wonderful stories of kindness, courage and people quietly doing amazing things for others. ❤️

But there was one nomination that really touched all of us at Bed Centre Grimsby.

❤️ Congratulations, Regan Westerman-skinner! ❤️

Reagan was nominated by his mum, Emma Janye-Westerman who told us what a thoughtful young lad he is.

At just 15, Regan has given up so much of his own time to help with his younger brothers while his mum has been juggling work and university. She told us he takes everything in his stride, always tries his best and never complains.

He also attends Army Cadets every week, where he’s become a fantastic role model to others.

And, of course, there was one other VERY important qualification…

⚫⚪ He’s a true Mariner! ⚫⚪

It was Reagan’s 15th birthday on Sunday too, so we think this signed GTFC football might make a pretty special belated birthday surprise! 🎂⚽

Regan, this one’s yours. 🏆

There have been so many moving stories, not only across the different posts and shared threads, but through private messages too.

We’re sorry that we can’t reply to every single comment individually, but please be assured that we are reading them all and every nomination will be considered.

⚽ WHO DESERVES THIS SIGNED GTFC FOOTBALL? ⚫⚪

We’ve managed to get our hands on a signed Grimsby Town football and we want it to go to someone special in our local community.

But we need YOUR help choosing who. 👇

We’re looking for an unsung Mariner — young or old.

Someone who:
❤️ Always puts others first
👏 Quietly helps people without wanting recognition
💪 Has been through a difficult time
😊 Has shown incredible kindness
⚫⚪ Or simply deserves a really special surprise

🔨 REFURB UPDATE… ANOTHER STEP FORWARD!

A little more progress outside today 👀

The sealant and undercoat are now going onto the sections of new, unpainted timber, getting everything properly prepared before the finishing coats go on.

There’s still plenty happening behind the scenes too, with more woodwork due to be done later this week as the frontage continues to take shape.

It’s one of those stages where the changes can look small day to day… but every job is another step closer to the finished result.

We said we’d show you the whole journey, not just the shiny final reveal — so here’s today’s progress. 🔨🎨

We are incredibly proud to reveal the new BED CENTRE GRIMSBY sign at Blundell Park.

For a local independent business like ours, seeing our name up there alongside a club that means so much to Grimsby, Cleethorpes and the wider community is genuinely a very special moment.

We’re proud to support Grimsby Town Football Club, proud to support our town and incredibly grateful for the support local people continue to give us.

Mark went for an early walk along Cleethorpes beach this morning and honestly… we’re pretty lucky to have this on our doorstep.

Blue skies.
Calm sea.
Miles of beach.
And hardly a soul around.

Sometimes when you see somewhere every day, you forget just how good it actually is.

So today, no sales pitch. No refurb update. No mattresses.

Just a bit of appreciation for Cleethorpes. ❤️

While most of us are still fast asleep, Mark’s already up, coffee in hand and getting ready for the drive from Melton Mowbray to Grimsby.

Roughly 2 hours each way.

Pretty much everyday.

You don’t have to be mad to work at Bed Centre Grimsby…

but apparently it helps. 😂

We’ll give him one thing though — that’s commitment.
