It’s amazing to know that we’re part of something so sad and yet so special (even if we wish we weren’t).

A physical memento like this just reminds me how real it all is and how even though Charlie isn’t here, his short existence is making an actual difference to actual people.

Maybe I’m thinking extra deep because it’s coming up to Charlie’s birthday and the memories always come back this time of year… but it’s got me thinking and feeling so unbelievably thankful for Leanne who founded the charity in memory of her own son James.

Leanne, not only did you create a physical way to feel connected with other bereaved parents but you’ve also given me and I’m sure so many others, a new purpose after all sense of purpose had been taken away, a direction in which to channel my grief and most significantly, a way to do something meaningful in my baby’s name and keep his memory alive.

So from the bottom of my heart thank YOU Aching Arms UK xx

Just a little appreciation post on for my boys who were both born prematurely:

My Rainbow Baby Jesse
Born at 31 weeks + 2 days
weighing 3Ib 10

And of course my Angel Baby Charlie
Born at exactly the same gestation and weighing 3Ib 14oz

Thinking of all the preemies today and feeling grateful for our NHS and all the amazing doctors, nurses and midwives working miracles at the Royal Surrey Maternity Unit SCBU and Neonatal Departments all over the country - doing everything they can to make sure our little ones make it home from the hospital safely ♥️

Well it seems summer has definitely arrived!

While I’m more than ready for that sun kissed glow, it’s always impossible to avoid the awkward ever graduating t-shirt / shorts / bikini tan lines 🙈

Somehow though, jewellery tan lines seem much more acceptable☺️
