Oh, 2026, what will you do? As we welcome the first chapter of a new book, we recall the challenges that the last one presented. Will this one be any calmer? Last year was such an annus horribilis, we could do with some positivity!
This year will see FlackCraft expanding our sea-oriented products, so what would you like to see from us?

It really lifts your spirits when you get a customer photo. Someone hasn't forgotten about us!
We've been able to get one of the twinado back into school this term. They've been gradually increasing to nearly full-time which should happen in the next few weeks. The other twinado now has a home tutor three days a week and nowhere near ready to return to a school environment, so life is still stressful!
Hopefully, we'll be in a position to return to our artwork in the New Year

We're swiftly losing count of the bad days right now. One of the twinado is an undiagnosed SEN child and is on so many waiting lists, it's ridiculous. The other was diagnosed last year and was recently issued an EHCP. Our NHS is on its knees due to years of underfunding (we won't go there!). But on the positive side, our success rate for getting through bad days is 100%! The light at the end of the tunnel is still dim, and we're pretty sure there are a few curves and bends to get past first, but we'll get there at some point.

Most of our designs are made from white, green, or brown sea glass. Do you want to know why? Well, it's because they are the most abundant colours! We also love using different shades of these three, especially olive greens, ambers, and off-whites.
Sometimes we find more at some beaches than others, but we always cherish the rarer finds. You won't see them crop up in our artwork that often as we don't want to part with them!

Welcome to chapter six of 2025! June is a busy month in the FlackCraft house as we prepare for the twinado's thirteenth birthday. I'm amazed at how far through this year we have got already! Nearly halfway - eek!
It's been a challenging year so far, so we could really do with an easy month. We're also looking forward to finding out more about our own school next year, so what's on your agenda this month?

We found so many nice pieces at Minster on Monday, including a shark tooth and a piece of old smoking pipe, which were firsts for that beach. Love ❤️ the cats eye marble.
