Mammoth glazing day yesterday, these are just a few of the pieces!
This takes hours with most pieces needing 3 coats and is Jason’s least favourite job when it comes to making ceramics … fortunately Izzy’s been home for a few days and offered to help.

Currently in the kiln and they’ll be on display in the shop tomorrow so keep a look out for lots more new pieces.

Still a few places left for our Kantha mandala workshop with Jennifer who ran the lovely Sashiko Biscornu pin cushion workshop back in May 🤍

Kantha mandalas merge traditional South Asian running stitch with circular, symmetrical mandala motifs.
Come and spend a slow and mindful afternoon with us this Saturday (8th) 12 till 5pm.
All materials, cake and a cuppa included. £35pp.

Thank you for all of your lovely messages and kind words for our 30th wedding anniversary.

We aren’t big on celebrations so after work we had a little drive to Richmond for fish & chips and took Bruno for a walk around the Easby loop … perfect evening.

It’s a gorgeous morning.

We’ve helped the stall holders set up, been for a walk with Bruno and the shop will be open 10 till 3pm to join in the Yorkshire day celebrations.

I’m on the glitter tattoo stall 10 till 12.30pm.
There’s loads going on in the town come and support the wonderful stall holders and businesses.

Jo aka mrs_stoddys_pottery makes her ceramics in the Pottery alongside Jason and has had a little restock. These are just a few of her gorgeous pieces on display in the shop 🫶🏼.

If you’re passing I’m in the shop 10 till 2pm today and 10 till 3pm tomorrow it’s always lovely when you pop in for a chat.

We’re also open this Sunday 10 till 3pm where you’ll find one of us in the shop and the other helping out with the Yorkshire Day celebrations in the town … we’re really looking forward to this it promises to be a brilliant day with loads going on.

We joke with you that everyone in Guisborough must have a Westgate Pottery Highland cow by now as it’s our most asked for and popular workshop 😊
We have had more requests for another so we’ve organised one amongst some lovely new workshops.

New and different Autumn and Christmas workshops are also being trialled and details of these to follow.

Evie is back with another Lino print workshop 🫶🏼

In this workshop you will learn how to carve & print your own single colour Lino prints, Evie will guide you through the process of designing, transferring, carving & printing using traditional tools.

You will be able to take your Lino block with you to continue to create prints at home, perfect for making your own unique gifts and cards.

This workshop is suitable for beginners & those with slightly more experience.
