JUST ARRIVED - 2006 Epiphone Sheraton II

These really are great guitars - great value for money. The Epiphone Sheraton, along with the Gibson ES-335, was one of the first semi-hollow electric guitar models ever produced. The Epiphone Sheraton II continued the legacy of the original's warm, singing, feedback-resistant tone and became more popular than the original line. This 2006 model with its Vintage Sunburst finish is in excellent condition and comes complete with its original Epiphone hard case.

FENDER FRIDAY - 2014 Fender Coronado Bass II

The Fender Coronado Bass II was reintroduced by Fender in 2013, with production lasting for 5 years. This retro style 30" scale bass features a thin, semi-hollow maple body with an alder centre-block, bound top and back and bound f-holes. This 2014 Candy Apple Red model is in superb condition - setup with a nice set of flat wound strings and comes complete with a padded gig bag

VINTAGE AND RARE - 1944 Gibson Banner J-45 Hogtop

We do get to play some amazing instruments here in the shop but this one has really stood out – from that first chord you can tell this is a special guitar.
The distinctive “Only a Gibson Is Good Enough” banner headstock logo makes these guitars instantly recognizable and highly coveted among collectors and players alike. Within this already coveted group of instruments, the rare “Hogtop” (Mahogany Top) models occupy a very special position. This 1944 J-45 is all original and in pretty good shape. The top does have plenty of lacquer cracking/crazing, however the back and sides are relatively clean with the back devoid of the usual buckle rash. The frets and Brazilian Rosewood fretboard are in great condition - the guitar comes complete with 70s hard case.

JUST ARRIVED - 1996 Gibson Les Paul Standard

1996 Gibson Les Paul Standard in fantastic, 100% original condition. From a desirable period for Gibson the guitar features a pair of 490R/498T humbuckers and a classic Cherry Sunburst nitro lacquer finish. Despite being 30 years old the guitar looks in near mint condition with only some light play wear and some small marks to the neck so show for its years. The guitar comes complete with its original Gibson tan hard case.

RARE & RETRO - 1989 Gibson Everly Brothers J-180 **SOLD**

A rare Gibson Everly Brothers J-180 Reissue from 1989. This Gibson flattop with its signature double pickguard still manages to turn heads with its unique looks and striking sound. Although not as rare as the original vintage Everly Brothers models, you won't see this 1989 reissue appear for sale very often. The features are essentially the same as the vintage original with solid maple back and sides matched to a Sitka spruce top, piano black finish with cream bindings, signature double oversized tortoise pickguards.

ARCHTOP WEEK #5 - 1930s Schönbach Archtop Guitar

The Schönbach region, now Luby in the Czech Republic, was a renowned centre of musical instrument making in Central Europe, especially during the 1930s. The area had a rich luthier tradition, with generations of craftsmen producing both stringed orchestral instruments and guitars for domestic use and export. Many craftsmen operated collaboratively, creating instruments with meticulous attention to build and materials, though individual maker attribution is often impossible. This pre-war Schönbach archtop is in great condition, and ready to play on for another 90+ years.

ARCHTOP WEEK #4 - 1964 Hofner Congress **SOLD**

We couldn't have an archtop week without a Hofner - and it has been a while since we have had a Congress in the shop - the bottom of Hofners regular production archtop guitars, and the model that started off so many guitarists in the UK, including Hank Marvin.
