Wow ! Another stunning day in sunny gully eh 🌞🌞🌞🌞.
So I mentioned a.....
💙 BlackHouse POP-UP shop 💙.tbh it has not been as easy as I initially thought,.....BUT 🤗🤗......I may have secured a place for .....2 whole weeks 🤗🤗
Which is SO fantastic and I'm very, very excited to do this and see some of you fabulous folk again ❤️... I will absolutely let you all know asap and hope to see some of you soon as I know from numerous messages that folk have been patiently waiting for me to post something about the 💙 BlackHouse Pop-up shop💙

So, we are now closed after 18 wonderful years of having my wee and beautiful "BlackHouse" gift shop here in my lovely village of Gullane 💙😥.
As I said, it was 18 years....and tbh, it was the best 18 years of my life.💙
I met the most wonderful people from all over the world, who remained loyal to BlackHouse even from far away places like Australia, Switzerland, Norway, Finland, Netherlands, America, Brazil, Canada....and still to this day remain not only customers but friends as well
My local customers were just the best people you could ever meet and it was an absolute pleasure and the honour of my life to own a shop like BlackHouse and have each and every one of them as a customers , who also became very good friends ♥️
The loyalty and generously my local / village customers had shown me for all of my 18 years was incredible, so, so supportive of BlackHouse and everything we had to offer and ... honestly, I can't thank them all enough♥️.... after all, without them my business would not have thrived and survived for 18 incredible years without each and every one of them from near and far ♥️
But just because I don't have a "bricks and mortar" shop anymore doesn't mean the end of the story for 💙 BlackHouse 💙 in any way 🤗
I'm going to do some "pop-up" shops...which I'm excited about🤗....it will be just magic to see my customers again🤗🤗🤗♥️ and I'm also super excited about starting my "new venture" and the next chat in the BlackHouse story🤗🤗🤗
So watch this space and I'll keep you all up to date on the goings on.

Hiya Folks 👋
How are you all ?...I'm missing you all and the shop 😥.
But being productive albeit a wee bit lost day to day...it's just the little things like walking to and from work and seeing the same folk either walking dogs or doing the "granny nanny" duties or just out for a walk.
It suddenly occurred to me the other day that the beautiful Blossom is out in full bloom here in Gullane, when your walking to and from work, you see the seasons change right in front of you, from the Daffodils in gardens, then the big blowsy Blossom 🌸 and I think because I've not had it "right in front of me" everyday... I only just noticed 🤣
So, on Friday passed I just finished storing and sorting the last few things from the shop ....
BUT I am planning to do a "pop-up" shop...which I'm kind of excited about and seeing ... hopefully....some of you lovely folks .....that would be brilliant ♥️
If I can get a space somewhere.... hopefully right here in Gullane 👍 then I will let you all know for sure 👍♥️

Well folks it's the end of an era for my wee shop ♥️ "BlackHouse" ♥️ here in Gullane.
I have handed over the keys to the new tenant and done the final inspection with my lovely Landlady Joyce.
It's been 18 years of graft, laughs, tears and astonishment and more laughs at the things people asked for, from ci**rs, champagne, pipe cleaners, ladies tights and much, much more 🤣🤣🤣.
Over the 18 years I have joined you in your happiness with new babies being born making you new grandparents and making new mum and dad's ♥️
I've seen your children grow and go onto university, some travelling the world on their own new adventures and hearing all of the amazing stories from your travels, University or from the new and exciting jobs that have come your way♥️
I have cried at the loss of some very dear customers that had become part of my shop life...with the oldest and the most amazing woman who shopped at BlackHouse for years and years, finally passing away aged 104 years ♥️
I have been a "doggie caretaker" when folk were running to the shops and have been thrilled to be introduced to your new puppies and gorgeous dogs as we always welcomed them into the shop and also mourned the loss with my customers when their beloved pets passed away ♥️
I have met amazing, inspirational people from all over the world and always looked forward to seeing them every year or when they could return to Gullane, people from Australia, America, New Zealand, Japan, Switzerland, Norway, Finland, Canada...it's been an absolute pleasure to get to know these lovely people that because regular customers to BlackHouse and supported my wee shop from afar...thank you all 💙
It's been overwhelming in the last few weeks since I announced that I was closing my shop and my reasons for doing so.
I handed in my notice last October and since then it has been an emotional rollercoaster for me.
But my stress levels couldn't do it anymore and when I handed over the keys it was with huge sadness if I'm totally honest, but happy and excited for the new lease holder because Gullane is a wonderful place ♥️, the people are generous and enormously supportive of local businesses ♥️, my 18 years have been an absolute pleasure and I wouldn't change any of it ♥️.
Can I also say a HUGE thank you for the flowers, cards, chocolate bunny, shortbread and delicious homemade tablet, I will cherish all the cards and enjoy the flowers ♥️.
So THANK YOU to ALL of you, near and far for giving me the best wee shop in Gullane, after all, if it wasn't for you, BlackHouse would never have lasted as long as it did, you did that and I thank you all ♥️
