To reclaim & honour our bleeds for the beautiful & potent magic that they are, ripples back to lineage of Womben who came before us and knew the power of the Womb.
Where entire villages would sit for days and shed, release, let go and let death take them.
It was a time not only for the Womben but Men as well, to energetically shed and leave old skins.
Our ancestors would sit in the Life creating potency of the bleed readying to rebirth.

As womben we are told ‘stories’ about our bleeds, about how much of a pain and a nuisance they are, how ‘unlucky’ we are, we are taught to force them with contraceptive pills or stop them altogether!
Society is disgusted by the only blood that is naturally meant to leave our bodies (yet is happy to watch the blood & gore of film/tv)
Our menstrual products advertised with a BLUE liquid for F* sake!
And yet … this is so much deeper than ‘just our bleeds’
This is reclaiming the natural cycle of our bodies
It connects us to the Cyclical nature of Mother Earth.
It calls us deepen into our wisdom, meeting our inner Crone, Wise woman.
Our bleed is an invitation for us to stop, slow down and pause and luxuriate in nourishing ourselves! She teaches us self worth!
You recognise the changes in your bleed from month to month and notice the subtleties that are evidence of the emotional month you’ve had.
Our Bleed Is our Birthright!
I look forward to the day my daughter comes to me with her first bleed, I look forward to holding the space and ceremony for her to take her first steps into Womban hood, to tell her what a true privilege it is to the magnificence that is a Womban ❤️🔥
