Need some VITAMIN SEA?

Come along to my coastal themed slow stitching workshop on Sunday 14th June from 10am - 12.30.

Lots of fabric, thread, vintage buttons, lace, beads and everything you need to make a coastal inspired piece.....PLUS homemade cake and a box frame to display your artwork!

There may also be seagulls.....

When me and Anna at started a Slow Stitching group at in March 2025, we had no idea what it would entail or even if anyone would show up....

Fast forward to April 2026 and our group have just had our first exhibition at the Arts Centre!

We have spent the last year creating 4 large wall hangings depicting the Fens through the seasons. Everyone at the group contributed something... The most beautiful and intricate pieces make up an amazing whole!

Individual pieces have also been created and the exhibition is brought to life with works depicting wildlife, iconic landscapes and stories from the Fens.

The exhibition finishes on Thursday 30th April so there is only one more day to view in it person... Make sure you don't miss out!

There are no rules at the beach (or at one of my workshops!!)

Home made cake and a 18cm x 18cm box frame included so you can display your piece plus EVERYTHING you need to create.

Something a bit different.....been finishing these 2 collages for an exhibition ( ooooh get me!!).

Come along to The Fens in Stitch at Haddenham Arts Centre from Friday 17th April to Wednesday 29th April.

The slow stitching group I am a part of will be sharing the pieces we have been working on, all based on the Fens.

The man in the photo (actually printed onto fabric) is Mr Paul Gotobed an Ely eelcatcher, making eel traps in his yard at Back Lane Ely. No idea of the year - anyone know?

The tiny collage features eels made whilst at a workshop run by Lizzie swimming around on a background of a recipe on how to properly cook a whole eel!!

Btw who knew that eels spawn in the sargasso sea.....

And look at the amazing piece she created (spot the French knots!)

I think it has a beautiful French vintage brocante feel.....and the best bit.....she is not quite 11!!
