🔥 CHRYSLER 300C — HOT WHEELS LEGENDS TOUR BUILD UPDATE 🔥

As most of you already know, I decided a long time ago to take on one hell of a challenge…

I’m building this Chrysler 300C Touring to compete in the Hot Wheels Legends Tour.

And make no mistake, this is one of the hardest competitions in the world of car building.

There are no categories. No “best paint”, “best custom”, “best classic”, “best hot rod” etc.

It’s every style, every era, every type of builder and every interpretation of what a custom car can be… all fighting for one spot.

So I decided to make life even harder for myself and build an estate car. 😂

The whole concept is inspired by an F-15 fighter jet. Excluding the paint ofcourse!

✈️ The huge recessed custom grille replicates the F-15’s air intakes. (Yet to make the grill which will feature a large floating gold Gunslinger pendant)
✈️ The rear bumper has been blacked out in the centre as a continuation of the front design.
✈️ The twin-fin ducktail spoiler was completely handmade to mimic the F-15’s twin fins.
✈️ Fully metal reverse-cowl bonnet.
✈️ Custom candy over flake paintwork, pink and green.
✈️ And pretty much every inch of the car has been modified, fabricated or built specifically for this project.

There have been a ridiculous number of hours gone into getting the bodywork right. Blocked, re-blocked, blocked again… until everything is as straight as I can possibly get it.

But there’s actually a method behind why I’ve kept some of the design relatively simple.

I’ve had Hot Wheels in mind from the very beginning.

This car ultimately has to work as a 1:64 scale Hot Wheels model.

That means the details I add to the real car have to be capable of translating onto a tiny die-cast model.

A few people have asked why I haven’t covered the car in loads of intricate airbrushing and tiny details.

That’s why.

Every line, shape, graphic and piece of paintwork has had to be considered from the perspective of:

👉 “Can this actually be scaled down to 1:64 and still work?”

So I’ve had to be pretty clever with the design.

It’s not about throwing absolutely everything at the car.

It’s about making every element count.

And we’re still nowhere near finished…

🔥 Next up — the wheels.

I’m doing them this week and, because apparently I don’t make sensible decisions, they’re going FULL RAW FLAKE. 😂

Yes… I’m flaking the wheels.

Nobody does it because it’s bloody stupid.

Which obviously means I’m doing it. 🤣

Then we’ve got the air suspension, custom interior, and plenty more finishing work still to come.

This build has already been one of the biggest challenges I’ve ever taken on, and I’m building the whole thing with one goal in mind:

Build something that deserves to become a Hot Wheels.

A massive shout out also has to go to Custom Paints, who partnered with me on this build and supplied all the paint and materials that have helped make this whole thing possible.

I’ve put a ridiculous amount of time into this car, but having the right products behind me makes a massive difference, so thank you to Custom Paints for getting involved and supporting the build. 👊🔥

If you want to follow the full build as it happens, I’m documenting the whole thing over on YouTube.

This is only the beginning. 🔥✈️

You won’t believe what caused this 😅

Problem is, it becomes harder than the primer which means it sands at a different rate. Get it off nice and quick, if it pulls out then the hole was too big for putty anyway.
