Earring and pendant glazing today. Fiddly but also restful and soothingly repetitive. They were cut from thin sheets of white porcelain clay that had been impressed using textured rollers or in one case some dried Thlaspi. Next they were dried slowly to try and prevent warping and then bisque fired. This afternoon I’ve been painting them with a thin layer of glaze and then wiping back to show the textures. They will be fired tomorrow and hopefully porcelain’s remarkable ability to move in the kiln will flatten some out! 🎧
