This is the final lot of photos, I promise! I’m back home on this Tuesday morning after packing up all the books, returning everything to its rightful place, and sharing so many thank yous. I’m still reflecting on the wonderful memories from our lovely weekend FolkEast 2026.

It was an absolute pleasure listening to Anne .keer share the inspiration behind and the extensive research that went into it. You can truly feel that depth when you’re reading. Good to think about how important it is for all of us to find our place in the wild.

A little more reading time before our event this evening with .keer I won’t have finish this book before I get to meet Anne this evening, but what a wonderful story and an interesting idea - exploring the concept between nature and enclosure with rural communities being uprooted as land is transformed. Set in the 18th century during the pre-industrial period of England, specifically around the time of Enlightenment. This historical backdrop being significant as it reflects the tensions between emerging industrialisation and traditional rural life…. A must read this summer.
