I’ve had a fantastic weekend with lots of lovely ladies, felting, sharing, eating, giggling and just having a ball. Thank you so much Pippa for sorting it all, your expert guidance and fantastic gifts. Thank you for arranging for the fantastic Mikaela Bartlett Felt to give us a fur planting demonstration too. Thanks ladies for sharing hints and tips and for the great company. I’ve absolutely loved it 🥰

Had a lovely day yesterday at Thornthwaite Galleries and Tea Rooms Ltd with Creative threads with Dawn learning how to use my machine for embroidery. Didn’t get a finished piece, but had lots of tips and loads of things to practice from the ever patient Dawn. You can see Dawn’s beautiful sample piece here in the pics.

We were really well looked after at the gallery with a delicious lunch too.
Bagged a lovely sheep piece created by SLC Simone Louise Ceramics too. Only thing I didn’t enjoy was the motorway drive home due to high winds and rain - but fortunately it cleared for a lovely evening driving through the Dales

Visited The Wool Clip today and saw the fantastic work of Tatiana Sorton of TatSo FELT design (and lots of other lovely woolly goodies). I bought some offcut silk and viscose fibres for my felting. Also had two typical Lake District traffic jams - with goats and sheep 🤣

Had a lovely weekend

Thank-you to this weekend's group of ladies for a really enjoyable weekend. A lot of hard work, a lot of talent (and experience) and lot of fun and good humour- so thank-you for your company. Some lovely work produced- I can see people's personalities and styles developing for some now. Apologies to the person who got cut off the edge of the photo- Heather? I'll put up people's work tomorrow- then you can label it if I can't remember!

My piece is now dry but it’s not yet finished. It will have to wait a bit as I’m off again soon.

Had a lovely day visiting Barmouth, Harlech and Bangor Pier plus fab drive through the Welsh mountains. Home to wash clothes and re-pack ready for my Scotland trip with my buddies
