Toffee Smith's We are a family run sweet stall based in the centre of Halifax Borough Market. We sell traditional, retro and modern brands of sweets & chocolates.

Toffee Smith's are a traditional family run business, located in Halifax Borough Market since the 1950's. As a family business, we have been manufacturing our own boiled sweets, toffee and fudge from our factory in Heckmondwike since 1900. Based in the centre of the market, opposite the Borough Market Clock, we sell a range of both traditional and modern sweets/confectionery aimed to suit everyone's taste. With over a 100 lines in stock, we even offer our own line of sugar free boiled sweets and have a range of drinks too, plus an ice slushy machine with three flavours to choose from, or mix together.

🚧 Market Arcade entrance closure.

From today, 1 September, the Market Arcade entrance will be temporarily closed for 6 weeks. This is so we can install modern, fully glazed automatic doors to make access easier for everyone as part of the Halifax Future High Streets project.

The market and all businesses in the arcade remain open as usual and we look forward to welcoming you.

Please use other entrances on Market Street and Southgate while works are underway.
