🌊🎨 Painting & Pebble Art is coming to Mixenden! 🎨🌊

Looking for a couple of hours to relax, be creative and enjoy friendly company?

Join us on Tuesday 4th August, 1pm–3pm at Mixenden Activity Centre for an afternoon of Painting & Pebble Art.

Create your own unique project using paint, pebbles, shells and other decorative materials. You can paint a beach scene, make pebble people or animals, decorate a jar or flower pot, or let your imagination take over. No experience is needed – we'll be there to help every step of the way.

FREE to attend (a £3 donation is gratefully received to help cover materials).

Super duper day today😁
Our ladies had a very enjoyable session learning basic crochet stitches led by the lovely Natasha Wilcock. Tasha, thanks for your tuition today, you're a star ⭐

Some of our ladies will definitely be carrying on with crocheting, some will definitely not!!! 😂😂

As usual lots of laughs and chatting which is so good for supporting mental health and wellbeing 😁

Group members also joined in a taster session for a new Mixenden Wellbeing Choir (starting on 10th September at 1pm). Further details can be found on the attached leaflet image.

🧶 Crochet Granny Square – perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to refresh their crochet skills.

No experience is needed – we'll guide you every step of the way.

🎵 Stay for something extra!
After our workshop, you're invited to join a FREE Wellbeing Choir taster session with Josie from Singing Mamas. Spend 10–15 minutes singing a couple of uplifting songs and find out more about the new choir starting at Mixenden Activity Centre in September.

SMASHED IT! 🎾🎾

A very successful session today! 15 lovelies joined in today to decorate a tote bag 🛍️

The creativity in the room was amazing! Everyone should be proud of their finished bags.

At our next Mixenden Activity Centre workshop you'll be able to decorate your own tote bag.

Keep it bold and colourful with paint pens, add beautiful floral designs with decoupage, personalise it with stamps, or add simple embroidery details.

There's no right or wrong way to do it – just come along, enjoy a relaxed afternoon and leave with something unique that you've created yourself.
