We recently acquired 2 RARE stopwatches 1 stamped on the back R L M I'm not even going to try to spell what it stands for as it's German. The stopwatch was used by the German Luftwaffe while dropping bombs over Britain. There were 4 companies making stopwatches for them and this stopwatch is made by LEONIDAS and still had it's BAL inspection mark under the back cover it is in very good condition for it's age.

The 2nd stopwatch is an unusual one as it times down to 1/100 of a second and was used mainly during the 1930's and 40's during car rallying and is made by Smiths.

The shop is open tomorrow if anyone would like to view them closer

😎 We are off on part 1 of our Summer hols from today 24th back in the shop on 3rd August but do not worry 😉, we will still be open apart from the following days:

What can we say other than thank you. Lovely chap. Al loved talking to him! Ironically, we live in Huddersfield and our "piece hall" was built in 1766 (so older than The Piece Hall ) demolished in 1930 is now a Sainsbury's on Cloth Hall Street (you know why it's called that now leading onto Market Street)....again down to a short sighted Council! The clock tower section of the building is in the grounds of the Tolson museum Ravensknowle Park and the gates ended up at Shaws Huddersfield

We aren't going to do the 10 green bottles joke (sorry, we've done that one already🤣) If anyone wants a bottle, we've got bottles by the tonne! From antique ones to vintage. Lots with names and different colours through to vintage pop bottles. Al knows it well. He used to live less than a mile from where the glorious pop was made (what was your favourite flavour?) and used to take his glass bottles back to get 10p back to then spend in the 1p penny tray sweets (if you know, you know 👍) Simone's fave penny tray sweets were black jacks and fruit salads We look forward to seeing you all soon at PS we won't be giving you 10p back for your pop bottle though! 🤣🤣

Here we are helping and encouraging young dealers and crafter's and makers to start earning money for themselves it would it is lovely to see their faces when they see the money they have earned and see how it encourages them to do more. Whatever happens in their lives they know they can always earn money from the knowledge they have learnt from having a cabinet from a young age. This is a small selection of the items our young cabinet holders have to offer. It will be lovely to see you coming in to support our wonderful young cabinet holders

Today would have been the 65th birthday of princess Diana who unfortunately died leaving 2 young children with no mother, we have a signed copy of the speech given by Earl Spencer at her funeral RIP Diana
