The Hook Bait Company was formed way back in 2001 when Darren McCann was targeting the very large and elusive chub of the River Severn in Mid Wales. ‘ River Secret’ was the first commercially available boilie designed specifically for catching specimen chub, a mile stone in bait development. Mark offered a helping of Big Squid to entice the barbel to feed and was soon into this splendid specimen which is a new personal best, beating his old one which also had a liking for Big Squid. Congratulations Mark and just reward for your hard work tracking them down.
