Please pass the word around to everyone you know who knits or quilts but maybe doesn't do Facebook that we have these files full of knitting and quilting patterns and projects. Each folder contains multiple issues of the Art of Knitting/Quilting magazine. Altogether there are about 90 quilting magazines and 70 knitting ones. We are selling each of the nine folders for £1

I think most railway enthusiasts in Haltwhistle and beyond know that the Community Bookshop is a good place to source train books and DVDs but did you know that we also have a lot of aeroplane books? Whether your interest is in war planes or modern commercial jets you'll find our window is full of all things aviation related at the moment. Set your heading for Westgate and come and have a recce.✈️

Sunday 21st June is Father's day and we have just restocked the shop with Father's day cards.🧔‍♂️ We also have a lot of exam related cards, Good luck, Congratulations on your results/ on your graduation/ on your A levels/on your GCSE's etc. etc. All these cards are £1 each👩‍🎓

We've had a large donation of children's books which would probably interest those from about 3+ years old up to about 9. They include Julia Donaldson's Songbirds series, Project X books, the Walker series, Fact Attack books on lots of different subjects and Biff, Chip and Kipper stories. There are several boxes to look through so these pictures are just to give an idea of the sort of books that have recently arrived.🌳

Today we are highlighting the mystery and thriller writer Harlan Coben. If you are looking out for his books we have quite a few in the shop at the moment or if this is a genre you enjoy you might like to try one of his books. Paperbacks are £1.50 each or 4 for £5.
