When it's too damned hot to go outside it's time to draw whimsical historic stables from a challenging perspective!

Also worked on a reduction print and excited for some new prints.

So I kind of burned myself out a bit with the December market. I had a great time but I put a LOT of hours in beforehand...

So I kind of burned myself out a bit with the December market. I had a great time but I put a LOT of hours in beforehand and it started to make art feel like a job not a pleasure.
So I reset. A busy busy couple of months of fatherhood and work got in the way of much inspiration but I've found a spark again.

I think towards the end I was worrying too much about what would sell and what would please algorithms so I did less art spontaneously. Some works (like the Harbury print) I absolutely adore and I want to do more of, others like my cards, less so.

So here's to doing art I want to do, for me. And i hope you like it anyway 🥰

When i get an idea I have to panic sketch it before the idea leaves my head like a fleeting leaf on the wind. This was my 3 step process for designing the Silent Knight card, from rushing out the shower and grabbing a pencil to the final print.

Had my first ever market stall. A culmination of months of artwork and prep. I was super nervous that it'd look bad, that noone would buy anything but it went really well and generated a good amount if interest in my art!
