The remnants of a rather well loved ( and slightly moth eaten ) Welsh tapestry blanket, tbh I was only given remnants and I have saved as much as I can. The small pieces rescued have been made up into lavender bags and they are available in .harlech.
Although the pieces of fabric are small they deserved rescuing and sharing. It’s a lovely weave in beautiful spring yellows and blues.

These are new!

I’ve made these table runners in fabulous Welsh tapestry prints combined with Morris ‘larkspur’ print cotton on the reverse. I love the pattern and colour combinations!

The runners are available for 6ft (180cm) tables but can be custom made to fit your table.

Just look where I was today! This is the new Penmaenmawr Museum shop. ( )

I popped in today to drop off some stock and have a little look round. The shop has recently moved from its original site next door to the museum to the arcade across the road. The volunteers have done a wonderful job in refurbishing the new shop and it is just glorious!

The museum is closed over the winter reopening before Easter but Izzy, Jackie and the other brilliant volunteers are opening the shop Tuesday to Sunday at the moment. The museum cafe is open at the weekend swipe through the post for more details.

The shop is full of books about the history of the area, there’s a lovely collection of children’s books and a great selection of gifts and locally made crafts. It’s a thrill to supply them with some of my makes. The shop and museum well worth a visit if you’re passing, it’s only a slight detour off the A*5.

Thursday and I’m working in with my sewing machine for company.
Curiosity got me flicking through this fabulous book about William Morris and look what I found pictured between pages 380 & 381, Honeysuckle (designed for fabric in 1876). 150 years on and here’s the print on oilcloth destined to be a storage bag.

I love Morris’s designs; beautifully detailed and timeless.

Long time no post! Getting back on track with some new makes and some fabulous new prints. I’m really excited about the new Morris prints I have found and I’m busy, busy making. I’ve started adding new items to my website and Etsy shop, and will be adding more over the coming weeks. I’ll keep you posted…

Bore da! Morning! Set up and ready to go at Gwyl Glynllifon. I’m here today and tomorrow from 10-4. I’ve not done many fairs this year but this is one I wouldn’t miss. I’m in the main marquee in the courtyard. If you’re about come and say ‘Hello’.

Setting up my stall at Oriel Mon this morning and I feel my job is done, I can do no more….well, at least for now.
The annual Christmas craft fair at Oriel Mon officially opens on Saturday and runs through until Christmas. It’s a fantastic event bringing together the work of lots of very talented local artists and makers. It’s the perfect venue to do a little Christmas shopping.

It’s coming (🎄🎁🎅 😱), and things are ramping up here as we get ready for the busyness of the run up to Christmas.
I am to starting notice to an increase in online orders ( thank you if that’s you 😄). November and early December are going to be busy with fairs and markets, so if you would like to order online particularly if would like a customised order don’t leave it too late!
I’ll let you know soon where you can find Ruby Gingham at fairs before Christmas.

Anyway, got to get on! Got a morning of parcelling and a post office run ahead 📦📦

It’s a perfect drying day today…
The big decision is which peg bag to use 😃, a selection of new bags heading to the website. I had a lovely time putting the oilcloth combinations together and hope they brighten laundry day.
Once the washing’s out it’ll be just me and the garden for the rest of the day. 😁
