Today I completed my very first gym session. đź’Ş
With Lupus and Fibromyalgia, exercise isn't always straightforward. Before I started, I checked with my doctor who said it was absolutely fine as long as I take it steady, pace myself, and most importantly... listen to my body.
So that's exactly what I did.
No trying to keep up with anyone else. No pushing until I drop. No unrealistic expectations.
Just focusing on moving more, improving my health, and taking one step at a time. ❤️
I know losing weight and exercising can be much harder when you're dealing with health conditions, fatigue, pain, flare-ups, or medications that can affect your energy levels.
So I'd love to hear from others...
âť“ Do you go to the gym or exercise with a long-term health condition? âť“ How do you know when to push through and when it's your body's way of saying "stop"? âť“ What has helped you stay consistent without triggering flare-ups?
I'd really appreciate any tips, experiences, or encouragement from those who understand the balancing act. đź’ś
