🍂Tree planting time!🍂Autumn is the best month to plant trees. The soil is still warm, rainfall is increasing and trees can establish strong roots before spring arrives. Over the next few weeks, we'll be sharing some of our favourite trees and explaining why autumn is such a great time to get planting.

🌳To start off with crab apples (Malus)- These produce beautiful blossom in spring and then in autumn they're covered in colourful fruit.
Malus Evereste - a small to medium tree with small red-yellow fruits
Malus Jelly King - a compact tree with large orange fruit - great for jelly!
Malus Sun Rival - a small weeping tree with bright red fruit
Malus Gorgeous -a small to medium tree with crimson/orange red fruit

⭐Houseplant of the week!⭐ Begonia Darthvaderiana - what a fabulous name!

Native to a small area of Borneo and only discovered in 2014, it's still considered a rare collector's plant. Why not come over to the darkside and meet Darthvaderiana!

• High humidity levels (can be done by misting/sitting on gravel)
• Temperatures between 20-27°C
• Free-draining soil
• Keep lightly moist, but never waterlogged

🌿 SylvaGrow compost with added John Innes
🌿 Allium 'Ostara'
🌿 Hyacinth 'Delft Blue'
🌿 Narcissus 'W.P. Milner'
🌿 Tulip 'China Town'
🌿 Crocus 'Blue Ocean'

To finish, add a good mulch, water well, then sit back and wait to see what spring brings! 🌸

🌷Time to get your spring bulbs! 🪻It might still be August but now is the ideal time to start planning and planting for spring. We've some really unusual new bulbs in this year such as Panda which is a white and purple crocus and Queen Bee which is a yellow and maroon crocus.
