At Project Linus UK, kindness is at the heart of everything we do. This Page is a place for support, encouragement, and updates about our mission to provide handmade quilts and blankets to children who need a little extra comfort.

To keep this space welcoming and focused, please follow our communication guidelines:

1. Kindness First

Please communicate with warmth, respect, and compassion. We are a charity built on care — let’s reflect that in how we speak to one another.

2. Be Kind or Be Quiet

Snark, digs, passive‑aggressive comments, or belittling others will be removed. If your comment isn’t kind or constructive, it doesn’t belong here.

3. Stay Focused on Our Mission

This Page exists to support children through the work of Project Linus UK. Keep discussions relevant, positive, and aligned with that purpose.

4. Images Are for Communication, Not Critique

We use a mix of original photos and simple graphics — including AI‑generated images — to help share updates. These visuals are functional, not philosophical, and not open for debate.

5. Zero Tolerance for Hostility

Comments that cause drama, derail posts, or target volunteers or admins will be deleted without discussion.

6. Admin Moderation Rights

Admins may remove comments or restrict participation to maintain a positive, welcoming environment for everyone.

It’s that time of year ladies. I am sponsoring a class again at the Ripley Show on Sunday 9th August - like last year, it will be Linus quilts so get searching your stash for baby-suitable fabrics and get quilting. Those premature babies need our help!
The sizes and requirements are on the Project Linus UK website, just make a small one please.
Last year, we had a stunning display of 21 baby quilts, and these were all donated to Linus after the Show. Tracy won first prize (£5) plus a voucher for the Harrogate Quilting Studio (£25) so she had £30 which she put towards her next Longarming - she was very happy!
You will need to download your entry form from the Ripley Show 2026 website, look for the Linus Class in the Handicrafts section, enter and pay your £1 fee. I am more than happy to take your quilts to the Show on the day if you can’t make it so no excuses! Just get your finished quilt to me, and then let me know your entry number when they send it to you a week before the Show.
These tiny baby quilts are for a lovely cause and they’re super quick to make (no fiddly appliqué or hand sewing)! Many thanks girls! Happy quilting 😍

3 very different quilts on my frame this week - it’s hard coming back from holidays with the grandchildren but what a lovely job to come back to! 😊

Some beauties from this week.
Today I’m doing some gentle English Paper Piecing on the sofa with one of the cats curled up, snoring beside me. I’m listening to the rain pounding against the windows and I’m glad I’m warm and dry at home. I think I’ll light a fire very shortly…What are you all sewing today?
