Running a small business takes so much more than simply making a product. There are hours spent coming up with ideas, designing, testing, creating, photographing and putting your heart into something you’re proud to call your own.
Of course, there will always be businesses that make similar products — and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being inspired by others. ✨ But there’s a big difference between inspiration and imitation.
Sadly, it’s becoming more common to see creators’ original ideas copied and passed off as someone else’s. Behind every original design is a real person who spent their time, creativity and money bringing that idea to life.
There’s room for all of us to succeed without taking someone else’s work. 🫶🏼
So when you shop small, please remember to support originality, creativity and the person behind the product. Every like, share, order and bit of recognition genuinely means the world to a small business. 💕
