I love my radial arm saw. If you use them by the book they’re not dangerous as some folk think… So here’s mine with my fret slotting jig and no blade guard (wait! What did I just say 🙈). With the exception of the marking out faff and double checking I can slot a fret board in about 5 minutes with this setup 👌

I really do get a buzz turning old window and door frames into guitar necks. This a lovely piece of Sapele which has done a good 25 - 30 years as a frame for a set of French doors. Now this section of it has been saved and will re-live its life as a neck on one of my guitar builds 😃

Not long now! This thing is going to be a monster. Walnut (weight relief) body, maple top. An actual reclaimed bit of 1950’s mahogany with Zebrano neck. Reinforced carbon rods, Wenge fretboard. oil_city_pickups to come and hip shot hardware. More updates soon 🙌
