When I go back to work and people ask me what I did in the summer holidays I end up saying, ‘oh, not much.’ What I actually mean is that I got into rare houseplants, brought a s**t load of cuttings and watched the crap out of houseplant you tubers before combining said insanity with propagating cuttings in my aquariums (Gary the betta was rather perturbed), making jesmonite terrazzo planters, DIYing old pots to experiment with hydroponics and finally using polymer clay, making silicone moulds and then resin to create a snail army of pot decorations. I’m nearly 40. This is not normal!
