38 years ago today,I started my piano business.
At first we were called Pianoworkshop, sadly no photos of the beginning, no internet , no smartphones only yellow pages for advertising.
Started in a small garage, then moved to our shop a few years later. changed our name to Bedhampton pianoshop ,did a rebrand which looking back was a bad idea..built a large 3 room workshop
Continued our main business source buying in pianos restoring and then selling (very labour intensive work),about 8-9 years ago we decided to concentrate on the more modern Pianos.
looking back i wish i had taken photos of all the guys that worked here instead of just pianos.
Running a business is like life ,it's a journey
you make mistakes ,you carry on and do your best......

Wendl & Lung made circa 2004. One owner from new and hardly used, the owner was only a beginner. This piano looks as new .(Same size as aYamaha U1)

In 2011, Wendl & Lung joined forces with Feurich and are using the Feurich name now. For details on Feurich pianos, click here. Wendl & Lung is an Austrian firm. They have a dedicated team of young musicians and technical staff who aim to produce top-quality grand and upright pianos at affordable prices. In 2011, Julius Feurich joined the team. The factory is in China (the second largest in 2011), but the piano is designed by and under the strict quality control of European technicians. The piano has a rich and mellow tone, with a subtle “European” quality, and the action is smooth and responsive.
A new Feurich this size would retail at around £6000
