URGENT NOTICE
Due to environmental agency lake assessment the lake will close for hopefully a short period due to the extreme adverse weather causing
Poor water quality and potential risk to health.this is out of the club hands and as seen through the region and most areas of southern England were not the only lake suffering.
Thanks for your cooperation in this situation and the page will be updated accordingly.

just to put across the lake is close until further notice as of spawning again due to high temperatures and water level going down we are in talks with environmental agencies so please do not go to fish it think of fish thankyou

Good afternoon
We have results from the environmental team
We are currently confirmed blue green algea bloom,water temp has dropped to 19.1 degrees as of this morning.
Again echoing a previous report the lake is open for fishing but can all members please ensure they wash there hands with a sterile gell or wet wipes after contact with the water.

Good evening
A quick update on todays actions from the environmental team.
Bailiffs and myself attended the lake this afternoon /evening regarding current water quality and stock.
We have had a pump in for most the afternoon till just before dark today.
We are due rain tomorrow which will help with surface movement and put some oxygen in but we have the loan of the pump that will be used on the availability of staff to monitor as the generator can't be left unattended.
Tests have been taken today and the lake is currently sitting quite warm around 25deg not ideal.
Potential for blue green algea is high but need results to get confirmation,along with an aray of other tests they will run through thier labs.
We will keep the lake closed tomorrow to allow a 48hr rest period.
The lake will be reopen to fish from Wednesday 13th Sept but we need to stress your personal welfare needs to be priority.
We have been advised fishing is ok but need to ensure any contact with the water ideally cleaned with wet wipes or cleaning gell as you would with any lake water,
I have answered a couple of questions asked tonight and will do my best to answer any more if needed in my best capacity.

We have currently been monitoring the water and over the last 48rhs had a few carp struggling on the surface.after strict monitoring by bailiff and countless calls to the ea we have an action plan to introduce emergency procedures to increase oxygen in the lake as well as more testing due to the algea bloom we are suffering.
Could you please refrain from fishing for at least 48hrs or until clear to open so we can work with the environmental agency in trying to remedy this current situation.

Spawning seems to have ceased again we will monitor the situation ,pleased to open the lake to carry on fishing if you do see they are getting on with it again can you.please inform us if the bailiffs have missed it.

Reports from bailiffs the fish are starting there spawn. The lake will be temporarily closed and will be keeping an eye on them so we can get back open after they finish.
