Join us for an evening of poetry, conversation and quiet reflection, as we gather to read poems by Carol Ann Duffy — former Poet Laureate, and one of Britain’s most distinctive contemporary poets.

From love and desire to loss, identity, memory and the unusual intimacy of everyday life, Duffy’s poems have a way of making the familiar feel newly discovered.

We are pleased to introduce the Mortality Café at Cornucopia — a relaxed, welcoming space in Hawick to talk openly about death, dying, loss, grief, funerals, end-of-life, and all the questions that surround mortality.
There’s no expectation to share, and no judgement. You can come along to talk, listen, meet others, or simply have a cup of tea and some cake. 🍰
The Café is facilitated by Nat Ferguson, with support from the Cornucopia team.
