For anyone interested in what happened next to my beautiful purple cabbage .. it got chopped up finely and layered with red onions, garlic, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and seasoning. I added plums instead of apples (that’s what was in the freezer) and grated beetroot (that had been half eaten by rabbits). Then braised on a low heat for an hour or two and now frozen and ready for Christmas. I normally fail to grow cabbages as everything else eats them so this one that grew randomly in the polytunnel deserved to be celebrated.

Dierama pulcherrima or Angel’s Fishing Rods .. I’ve been selling more of these seeds than anything else.
An Internet search told me they’d appeared on ‘The Crown’ so I’m wondering if that’s why I’ve been enjoying a prolonged period of sales. Any enlightenment on this would be of interest!
Still available on EBay or message me direct, they just take a while to get established.
