A year of inspiration and exploration. Thanks to the sea, shore, land, trees, flora, sunsets, twigs, leaves, lychen & countless other natural forms that weave their way into my paper explorations.

Having these snippets in one place has been SO helpful in directing where I need to continue and gather momentum for the year ahead. Wishing you all a fulfilling creative journey this year.

Now let's get to it. 💛

At the start of something new... I know I always say it, but I love the colours in this one already. Blues & ochres always send me to the sea.

I'm enjoying getting lost in the making of these.

A newly framed paper weaving.

'After Monet - lilypads at Giverny'

It's hard to show off the colours in a photo - it doesn't do it justice really- especially when they are illuminated by the sunshine. This one's been sitting with me for a while, but I'm pleased it's now 'finished'. I always struggle with that.

I just love the colour play and textures in each little square of this weaving. The little incidentals- the way the ink pools and licks its neighbouring colour.

I hope you find a 'lilypad pond' calmness looking into these little squares as much as I do. The colours echo Monet's paintings from his time at Giverny.
