The Stunning debut album from the JSVB Legacy Band pays homage to some of the greats of swing music - Buddy Rich, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Sammy Nestico, Glenn Miller and Gordon Goodwin all feature in this amazing album. Top playing and arrangements from some of the very best in brass today: Richard Marshall, Tom Hutchinson, Mark Harrison and Steph Wilkins lead the trumpet line, with Jonathan Bates and Gary Curtin on horn and euphonium respectively, Brett Baker and Adam Reed make a formidable trombone section and Gav Saynor on bass provides the bedrock. Percussion section is led by Mark Landon and Anthony Mann in some style, with contributions from Adie Smith and Martin Gernon.
This is the first of eight albums planned by the group, and is an absolute cracker!
