What a week! An absolute scorcher! Very lucky to have timed this with a holiday at the seaside with my family ... Happy days πŸ₯° πŸŒŠπŸ¦€πŸšβ›±οΈ

The Llyn Peninsula in Wales is an absolutely beautiful part of the world. We still go back to the campsite we went to as kids, and it's so nice to spend quality time with family while switching off from the world a little bit.

I have been felting while I'm here of course (it never stops!), and have a crafty little helper Del who has been commissioning me for various projects including a sheep and a cat 😺 Both with handlebar moustaches and six packs! That's what you get when you accept commissions from 5 year olds 🀣 I'm here for it!

Oh, and there was a snake on the beach! Another first for me πŸπŸ˜…

I hope everyone's keeping cool while enjoying the sunshine! I'll be back to any orders etc from Monday.

Ooohhhh what's this .... πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

Let me tell you! It's my Norfolk Blaze yarn featured in a Yarn Review in along with the likes of Baa Ram Ewe, King Cole and Lang Yarns. Eeeeeekkk 🀩

A huge thanks to Knitting Magazine for featuring this fully traceable, small batch aran yarn - a blend of Norfolk Horn and Zwartbles πŸ‘πŸ‘

"The 'zwart' part of Zwartbles means 'black' and by blending these sheets dark fleeces with the white fibres from the Norfolk Horn flock, The Peg Loomer has come up with a classic grey undyed yarn with a slightly marled πŸ˜‚ I close up.

Knitted up this wool has a robust, natural feel that would be ideal for outer garments you want to last. It's strong stitch definition would work well in cables and textured patterns."

And day of 2 of my woolly weekend was at the amazing in Leeds for their Threads Textiles Festival, and more needle felting magic turning fluff into Toadstools πŸ„πŸ‘β€οΈ

A lovely group of enthusiastic crafters plus Charles who came along with his wife Norma and hadn't done any crafting before, yet was an absolute natural πŸ€©πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Brilliant work and several needle felting converts ... A success!

I then got to explore the brilliant exhibition and browse the Textile Fair packed full of an amazing range of makers and designers. A stop at for natural dyeing supplies then it was back on the road for more woolly adventures! πŸ‘€

Two weeks ago we moved our boat off our mooring for the first time in 2 years. It was a glorious day, with stunning evening light on the green hills and beautiful bird song alongside the sound of the Lister engine. Happy days!

Plus a reminder of what we all need .. HOPE ❀️

I'm in love with this rug. I really am. The curls, the colour, the smell! But I must sell it, I must .... that's my business 🀭

SO this stunning Curly Rug or Throw is now up for grabs! I've never made one with such long curly locks before. It's made with a Masham fleece - pronounced Mas-ham - the Yorkshire town where these long wool sheep come from. Along with some super soft carded Shetland wool. πŸπŸ‘

It was hard to weave but so worth the extra time and effort. I can so imagine this beauty over the arm of a sofa or armchair, beside a bed to warm your toes in the morning, or by the fire. πŸ₯°

It measures approx 85 x 50cm and is available for Β£125 plus postage, or you can visit my studio for a squish.
