MB Models worlds round 6,
Practice was more me dialling in the outdoor car and now thanks to Chris Foster RC we have full power in it, I just did the one practice session with the indoor car and it was perfect.
Heat 1 my usual good race 19 laps in 306.
Heat 2 and well, down to driver error I got too tight to the inner barrier on a corner and clipped the 90⁰ part and the angle I made contact snapped my turnbuckle end off so race over.
Heat 3 car fixed and nothing changed so needed to get a good clean run in and got 19 laps in 307.

This result got me into the A final starting 8th. I got a good clean start and kept it clean all race and Rhys Trewartha Rc made a mistake and I went past him. But boy did he make me work to hold him off but I just kept tight lines and keep him behind until he pulled off with gear failure. I carried on and came home in 7th place so I was happy with that and got 19 laps in 316.
This puts me joint 2nd overall in the championship with Zach but still a long way to go.

Massive thank you to Bren's RC Racing for the limited edition team snafu wheels, they will be on many future photos as I don't want to damage them in racing lol.

No racing for me now at mb for 3 weeks as next week is a track change and the following 2 weeks is family holiday time in the sun.
I hope to get a weekend meeting in tho somewhere it just depends on the racing calender.

MB Models Wednesday night worlds round 5.

In practice I first took my outdoor car out to get the steering and electrics trimmed up ready to go next time it's needed, but the switch back to my indoor car for later practice totally threw me out and I was driving like a novice and was that bad dad took me off to save damage. I sorted my head out and went back out and was bang back on normal pace and came off early as the car was good.

Heat 1 and I started off 7th and managed to finish 5th with 19 laps in 303 so a good first race.

Heat 2 and managed 19 in 309 with the one mistake that cost me some seconds

Race 3 and dad put old tyres on to save the best ones for the final and I still came home with 19 laps in 309 with only 3 wheels fully attached to the car for the last minute.

These results put me starting 6th in the A final which I was really happy with.
A final start and I tried to keep out off any carnage but ended up going into 2 tangled cars going down the steps and ended up dropping to last. Going round in the rest of the first lap there were other crashed cars so I gained some positions there and had some room to get into my rhythm. I caught up with Ben Stephenson and we had another close race like we had in all the qualifying heats, he then got caught on a pipe and I couldn't avoid him in time and ended up stuck with him until we were marshalled together. It was the start of the last lap too so we both went for it going onto the straight and tyre rubbed but both stayed on our wheels and was going down the straight he was on my tail and clipped one of my wheels which sent him into the wall and I managed to keep on my wheels and bring my car home for 4th place.
I can't say how much I'm enjoying driving the Yokomo SO 3.0 even with a little breakage in one of the heats I still managed 19 laps and only had 3 wheels properly connected. It was the first racing break I've had on the car since owning it the other problems I had ages ago were wear and tear parts so it goes to show his robust it is and this has given me more confidence in attacking corners even if I clip them I still drive away.

A big welcome to team yokomo to Rhys Trewartha Rc and Seth Shillito RC it's awesome having you as team mates and know me and my dad can ask for advice like the rest of the team to help improve me more.

MB Models worlds round 4 let's go,

First outing with the new shell colours and electrics so was surprised in practice with how well the electrics went with a tune my dad put in it with just a few fine adjustments ready for the heats.

Heat 1, well, with how much backing and help I get from a certain person I can't believe he used Mrs H's nail glue to do my tyres and all 4 came unstuck with 1 rear coming off after just 1 lap. Just kidding he claimed it was proper glue, yeah right lol.
Anyway heat 2 and after getting help from Dean DC and getting the tyres sorted and activated (thank you) I went out knowing I had to give my all and came home with 19 laps in 307 so usual pace for me.
Heat 3 and Dad said I've changed nothing we need the same again son, I obliged by getting 19 in 308 thus being good enough to get me in the A final starting 8th.

A final, nice clean start by everyone and Josh Anderson RC went by me but I just wanted to avoid any collisions and tucked in behind him. The full race between us 2 was very close and he made a mistake and I took the position back. With us so close in battle I didn't notice some cars in front were crashing and we were picking up positions and racing clean. I managed to last to over 4 minutes before the bullet that is Will Skidmore came past me to lap me and then only Charlie Simmons was the other driver that went by. I managed to come home in 5th starting from 8th with 19 laps in 303 which is my best ever overall and I also managed a 15.40 fastest lap which is also my best ever.

Thank you to Mrs Race Stars Nadine Horn for my set of tyres for when the ones I have are done so I have new ready to go on x

So after getting a box handed to me tonight upon opening there was a nice fresh body shell in it. I knew I was getting a new body with my old one going with my old car but I didn't know what type or design it was going to be. Somehow my dad managed to find one that is the same colours and design as the new one on my new outdoor car to go onto my indoor car. A big thank you to Mark Headling for going out of your way and posting it and also the deal you sorted with my dad.
Sunday we will be going and getting all the new electrics put into the outdoor car at whoppers wiring ( Marks ) which is much appreciated so we're ready to go for next year.

So here are my new racing colours for the foreseeable

Round 3 at MB Models worlds this week.
I saw a lot of the fast guys were coming from outside to indoors now but I know I'm faster so just had to do my thing.
Heat 1 noticed a lot of the guys in my heat were using new tyres but I knew my car was good on old ones and came home with 19 laps
Heat 2 and the same again 19 laps
Heat 3 and exactly the same 19 laps.

This put me into the A final starting 6th still on old tyres but the car was going good.
Good start and no crash on the first lap this time and was right behind Zach Whittleston Rc as he had gone past me to take my position and Chris Foster RC, that was until I caught a pipe with my inside wheel and it sent me over the pipe so I lost ground to them but managed to stay on my wheels and come home in 7th position. Considering I was on old tyres and got 19 laps in every race I was happy and hopefully next week finally get the 20 laps

This is the last meeting you will see this body on my car as my old outdoor car is going to a new young driver and I wish him the best of luck as the old car and this body shell did me well, thanks Aaron Greenwood for doing me it I hope you was happy seeing it on the podiums.

Well here she is in all her glory, the new to me Yokomo SO2/3 outdoor car. My mum and dad said I did so well outdoors with my old indoor car it was only fitting to get a fully set up for outdoors car and aim high next year.
This came from a fellow yokomo driver Chris Long and I can't say thank you enough for everything that came with the car and the kind message.
This was Chris' back up outdoor car that maybe did half a meeting this year, it's the shorter SO2 chassis with SO3 parts upgraded where it could be but most of all it's fully set up for outdoors by somebody that knows what they are doing, sorry dad lol.
I have new electrics ready to drop in the car and try and get out for an outdoor meeting before everywhere moves indoors, so maybe bury or Batley for a shakedown and see what a proper outdoor buggy feels like.

So round 1 of the MB Models worlds last week and I went into it feeling confident in the Yokomo SO3 after the last championship.

Heat 1 and just a steady away drive but at about 4 minutes my car was losing power so just made sure I finished the race and got 19 laps in 312.
Heat 2 and the same again the car was going well and got to 4 minutes and the power just dropped off but managed 19 in 311.
Heat 3 and the same but managed 19 in 310.
This put me lining up 5th in the A final which I was relieved with.

Final start and the car went nowhere on the warble so I dropped a position and then 2 corners later I was in a pile up and came out next to last. Yet again first lap collisions had cost me and I had to get on with battling through the pack again. Luckily Bren's RC Racing was filming the final so that was a guaranteed DNF for Charlie Simmons and it certainly was as his car broke so that was a position gained. Then Alex Pyatts car also broke so another position gained so I made the most of it and battled my way through to come home in 3rd place. Yet again at about 4 minutes the car just had no power and dad thought it may be the batteries going. Overall I was happy with 3rd place but very lucky with the retirements. Well done to Zach Whittleston Rc for taking the win but you do realise Rhys Trewartha Rc was just playing with you until he made a c**k up lol but we'll done buddy.

Upon inspection when dad looked at the car the top of the esc was covered in fluff from the track and the fan couldn't cool it so it started to overheat and went into safe mode so cut to about 60% power so it didn't damage itself. Hopefully it's all good for the next round this coming Wednesday.
