My gorgeous friend Becky Gosling who some of you heard and loved her singing at the bookshop’s six month birthday celebrations is singing as part of one of her other singing gigs. She does music from the shows and it really is fabulous and they’re playing at Rugeley Rose very soon!

How wonderful to have two of my dearest friends Sue Watson and Emma Robinson in the bookshop today!

If you’ve never read their books Sue writes twisty, gripping psychological thrillers and Emma writes emotional family drama and domestic suspense novels! Both are excellent authors and I recommend that you check them out!

On Saturday afternoon one of our lovely customers came through the door and said some really important words to me.

When she got up to leave, I asked her if she felt better than she did when she arrived. She had spent an hour and half having a coffee and a cake and reading her book and I could visibly see what her answer was going to be. Her shoulders weren’t so tense and she was smiling so much more than when she arrived.

To think that the little bookshop that we created can make someone feel this way brought a lump to my throat and joy to my heart 💖

Never underestimate the power of words. You might just make someones’s day by telling them how you feel 😊
