John T. & Pearl Lewis - Books by Post Second-hand Books by Post also Book Repair In addition to selling books we also repair and restore books. From simple repairs to complete restoration.

We have a small stock of what we think are interesting books, displayed on our website at http://johnandpearl.com/ Most of our books are illustrated with scans to enhance the descriptions. I strive to provide a
functional rather than 'Fine Art' service. Anything from a simple repair
to a torn page, to complete reconstruction including replacing missing
pages in facsimile, the whole re-stitched a

nd rebound in cloth or
leather, as required. I also make Slipcases and Boxes. Some fragile paperbacks need protection and for those I create matching
hard-covers, securing the book only loosely so that the covers can be
removed easily if desired. Wherever possible I recycle materials to maintain authenticity and avoid
the sometimes 'jarring' look of new materials. Though most work is on stock I am happy to quote for work on commission
