A passion for creating things and head full of ideas have always been the strongest drive to lead my life. My name is Karina but my mum used to call me Kaja hence the name of my store. I have two daughters, grandson and lovely husband. It all started one day a couple of years ago, when my little daughter Milla saw a crocheted mouse toy on a website, and asked me if I could make one for her. „Sure, love” I said.

Our Story

I should probably start with a bit of a statement...I`m very happy to witness two things in today`s societal development, both important to me on so many levels. One is the so called WAHM phenomenon a term describing „working at home mothers”, who stay at home, take care of the children and ho me life, and yet try and find their own place, carve their own carreers , fulfill their creative and economical dreams. Those mothers have energy and ideas, and what`s more, they back each other up, often cooperating and learning from each other. The second thing that speaks volumes to me is the modern take on recycling, or what should probably be calledupcycling. Giving new lease of life to used things is wonderfulboth for the planet we live on, and for creative souls who do that.

Ever since I can remember, I`ve used my own imagination to create my wardrobe or to design my home`s interiors, not really caring about the official trends and fashions.

My adventure with fabric collages started around 6 years ago, when I created my first picture. I still love creating them and I never want to stop.

As for crocheted toys, it all started one day a couple of years ago, when my little daughter Milla saw a crocheted mouse toy on a website, and asked me if I could make one for her. „Sure, love”I said, and I started browsing the internet , looking for instructions and patterns for the beginners.
