🎾 Does Your Artificial Clay Court Need More Infill?

Here's a quick maintenance tip for tennis clubs...

Did you know that artificial clay courts are designed to be overfilled with clay infill?

Unlike artificial grass courts, where the sand sits 1-3mm below the carpet pile, artificial clay courts should have enough infill to completely cover the carpet fibres. This creates the sliding experience players expect from a clay court.

💡 Too little infill can lead to:
- Reduced sliding
- Flattened carpet fibres
- Inconsistent ball bounce
- Poor drainage
- Faster surface wear

If your club converted old hard courts into artificial clay, it's also worth checking that your installer fitted a 50mm wooden kick board around the perimeter fencing. This helps keep the clay infill on the court instead of being washed away by rain or brushed out during maintenance.

Regular brushing is an essential part of maintaining a sand-filled padel court. Our drag brush is designed to:

New Product Under Development - Padel Scoreboard

With the rapid growth of padel across the UK, many of our customers have asked us to develop a dedicated padel scoreboard. We are pleased to announce that we are now planning our first production run - and we'd love your input before we finalise the design.

The new scoreboard will be based on our popular Match Pointer tennis scoreboard. Like the original, it will be double-sided, displaying the score on both the front and back so that players and spectators can easily follow the match. Measuring a compact 35cm wide × 50cm high, it will include a sturdy metal hook for hanging securely on the side of a padel court.

A large white panel at the top will allow us to personalise each scoreboard with your club, sponsor or company logo.

We are still deciding on the background colour. Would you prefer black or blue?

The scoreboard will also feature customisable player name plates, allowing you to display players' names instead of the standard "Team A" and "Team B".

Is there another feature you'd like to see?

As this is a brand-new product, your feedback is incredibly valuable and will help shape the final design before production begins.

We often get asked which line sweeper works best on clay tennis courts, so last week we decided to put three of our most popular models to the test at our local clay court club 🎾

First up was the BASIC Line Brush. Simple and affordable, but we found it surprisingly tricky to keep straight on the line, which made sweeping a bit slower than expected.

Next was the BLITZ Line Sweeper. This one uses plastic flaps instead of bristles, so it was nice and easy to guide along the line. The action felt smooth, although we didn’t find it cleaned the lines quite as well in dry conditions.

Finally, we tested the MATCH LINER - our best-selling sweeper - and it really stood out. Easy to control, quick to use, and it cleared the sand away brilliantly, leaving the cleanest lines of the three.

So for us, the MATCH LINER was the clear winner for speed, ease of use, and overall cleaning performance 👏
