Meet Harry, our horseshoe crab.

He might look a bit unusual, but horseshoe crabs are incredible animals. They’ve been around for hundreds of millions of years, which makes Harry one of the most interesting residents in the shop.

You’ll usually find him slowly making his way around the tank, doing his own thing and looking very prehistoric while he does it.

Pop in and see Harry next time you’re here — he’s definitely worth a look.

New Red Sea gear coming to our display tank soon 👀🐠

We’ve got some exciting new Red Sea equipment ready to be fitted onto our in-store display tank, and we can’t wait to get it all up and running.

The idea is simple — once everything is installed, you’ll be able to come in, see the equipment working in person, and get a proper feel for how it all runs on a real setup.

It’s always easier to understand reef equipment when you can actually see it in action, so this will be perfect if you’re thinking of upgrading, starting a new marine setup, or just want to ask us any questions before ordering.

We’ll keep you updated as we get it installed, but if you’re already interested, the new Red Sea gear is available to pre-order now.

We’re pleased to announce that later this year, around mid-Q4, A to Z Marines will be joining the Perfect Aquatics site as an independent owner-operated marine specialist.

This is a positive long-term step for the marine side of the business. Marine aquatics is a specialist area, and we believe having a dedicated owner-operator focusing specifically on marines will allow the department to develop into a stronger, more specialist offering for customers.

You’ll still be able to find all your aquatic needs under one roof here at Perfect Aquatics. Our online store and competitions are completely unaffected, and the wider Perfect Aquatics business will continue as normal.

We’re genuinely excited about what this can bring to the site and believe that, long term, it will create a better marine offering for customers, with specialist focus, knowledge and service at the heart of it.

More details will follow nearer the time.

We’d like to give a warm welcome to the newest tenant on site, Bermuda Blades Axe Throwing.

Bermuda Blades is a dual lane, covered outdoor axe throwing experience, offering a variety of throwables including axes, tomahawks, throwing knives and hatchets.

Their really fun soft bristle plastic axe sessions are available for ages 8+ and run daily from 9am to 2pm, making them a great option for younger players and families. Real axe throwing is available for ages 12+, with sessions running daily from 2pm to 9pm.

Both 30 minute and 60 minute sessions are available. Their launch code, BLADES40, brings sessions down to around £9 per person for two people for 30 minutes, or £15 per person for 60 minutes. The more people you bring, the better the value per person on private lane sessions.

A special mention Isobella that paid us a visit this weekend at the The National Koi Show. Isobella has a passion for Hi-Utsuri. Isobella bought the ne of these from us earlier in the season and hand drawn a portrait which she now displayed on her T-shirt. Keep up the good work Isobella.
