For those old enough to remember 9/11, and us at the time realising that in that moment, the world may never be the same again (I can remember people as young as 8 at the time, fully understanding the impact of it all) it’s etched into our minds where we all were on that day.
I was in Austria at a NATO event. Watching on small high mounted 14inch colour tvs, inside a cafe type rest hall, used for all soldiers between serials.
Lots of Americans there from all branches, national guard and agencies. Flown home immediately.
A year later I had been in North Carolina and we were on a coach going through Virginia heading to Washington. On the freeway we drove past the Pentagon and saw the section (still missing at the time) from where American Airlines Flight 77 had struck. Looking like a missing piece from the cheese wheel in Trivial Pursuit.
About a decade later I was in NYC, and had walked from Central Park down to ground zero.
It was summer and the construction of the 9/11 memorial was still underway.
I went into the temporary 9/11 museum that was located inside the old Liberty Deli, next door to FDNY Engine 10/Ladder 10 Firehouse, across from the World Trade Center site.
I read every tag, every written note, listened to every voice recording and looked at every photograph in there. I was there on my own.
It remains to this day one of the most deeply profound and emotional experiences I’d ever witnessed.
Medieval cultures, invisible deity’s and the absolute need for death of anyone who doesn’t comply will never triumph over human life and the ultimate love we have for our closest people and each other.

Ty Roneb and Q’s Comic Store now in the The Oxford Arms after an absolutely cracking night The Courtyard, Hereford in the The Amp Hereford tent watching the incredible Jools Holland and his orchestra!
What an absolute belter of a night, and even got my dancing shoes on! 🕺 💎
To be fair the dancing helped stretch me 13 miles off!!! 🤣

Ritchie and Cal, cracking lads, provide a top of the line service, one you won’t be disappointed with.
Sorted my stairs at home and lots of stalls in the market, an look at the homes and businesses through their FB page they have also sorted. Mint!!💎
