Looking Ahead to 2027 – Lugg Country Co

It's never too early to start planning next year's show season!

2026 has been another fantastic year for Lugg Country Co. We've travelled plenty of miles, attended some brilliant agricultural shows, country fairs and events, met so many lovely people and even picked up a couple of Best Trade Stand awards along the way!

As a small family business, these events mean so much to us. They're not just about selling our handmade countryside-inspired gifts and artwork, but about meeting customers, catching up with familiar faces and sharing what we love doing.
So, we're getting our 2027 diary ready!

We're looking for agricultural shows, game fairs, country events, artisan markets and something a little different too!

Art doesn't always mean picking up a paintbrush or a pencil

At Lugg Country Co, our artwork isn't created in the traditional way with pencils, paints or brushes.

Instead, we love working with different materials to create something a little bit different.

From beautiful pheasant feathers and recycled tweed to spent sh***un cartridges, we turn everyday materials into unique pieces of countryside-inspired art.

We're currently working on a very special bespoke commission, incorporating fabric from a cotton shirt and a much-loved Barbour jacket.

We love the idea of taking something that holds memories and giving it a new lease of life as a piece of artwork that can be treasured for years to come.

We've been busy making, restocking and having a little play around with some new ideas!

We've also been experimenting with floating glass frames trying something a little different Wood and resin trays bangles to name a few

There's always something happening in our workshop, and not every idea works first time, but that's all part of the fun!

With the Christmas markets fast approaching, it's full steam ahead getting everything ready.

A little creativity, a lot of feathers and probably far too many cups of tea!

October is here…

The pheasant season has started,
It’s time to join the beating line again.

Time for muddy boots and country lanes,
Time for a warming port on shoot days

Time for feather collecting,
For bringing a little piece of the countryside back to the workshop.

Time for cosy nights,
Log fires and game casserole bubbling away.

The fields are changing, the evenings are drawing in,
And our favourite time of year has arrived.

Hello October — we’ve missed you

feather season is well and truly here.

And that’s a wrap on our summer show season!

It’s been another busy one for Lugg Country Co, travelling to some brilliant shows, meeting lots of lovely people and taking our handmade country pieces out on the road.

We’ve had sunshine, rain, long days, early starts, plenty of laughs even tears and some really proud moments along the way and we wouldn’t change it.

Now we’re looking forward to a couple of weeks of downtime… although in reality that probably means Christmas prep!

Small set up in a windy Monnington on wye . A fundraiser for Monnington Church .

John Bulmer and Angela Conner Bulmer are kindly opening up the grounds of Monnington Court

This is a unique opportunity to explore the historic gardens and view Angela’s portraits including the royal family, political figures such as Winston Churchill and other national and international treasures, many of whom sat with Angela while being sculpted.

Monnington Court House includes a Moot Hall completed before 1230 with the rest of the house extended in the 1500s and 1600s.
