A disgruntled customer writes: “On days like these nothing’s better than a cooling dip in the Wye, with its fragrant mud and manure. The only downside is the Natural Dog Wash after. It’s made with foul-smelling lavender, noxious rosemary and noisome lemongrass essential oils plus a bit of minging coconut oil for that extra sheen. Thank goodness it's exclusive to the shop. Dogscusting!”

Four fishing generations: one continuing story. Here’s H. A. Gilbert’s granddaughter Athene - founder of the business - introducing his great-grandsons to fly casting. (Below the Nydd, 2006.) Alongside is Gilbert’s 1923 book, newly reprinted. The Tale of a Wye Fisherman is a family story, a river story, and a reminder today that to love fishing is first of all, to love the river.
