Every year TPG DisableAids are proud to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning, our wonderful team go the extra mile to bake their own cakes to bring in, to help raise funds.

This year our Head of Sales has passed the baton (not the batten burg) to the girls in the office to organise the event.

We thought we could make it a healthy competition to see if they can raise more than Jayme did last year (which was a whopping £117.58 by the way!)

Huge congratulations to Kath J, the incredible winner of our Grand Final Mystery Prize! Kath put in a legendary performance and really scored big with us!

Enjoy your new ride, Kath – we’re so happy for you! (We went back and checked the stats, and Kath’s dedication on Facebook is truly legendary—she nearly commented on our posts more times than Iran and Tunisia conceded goals combined throughout the entire World Cup! Now that is pure legend status)

The results are in and the winner has been crowned. The World Cup sweepstake has concluded with Mark D winning with his lucky pick of Spain. (He also won the Grand National Sweepstake so is now banned from all future events)

In second place, we have Alex R with Argentina, bravely proving that you don’t have to be corrupt, just mildly lucky, to get near the top.

Andrew C bagged third place with England, a feat achieved in spite of England generously donating 12 goals to the opposition like a reverse charity drive. As a reward for this defensive generosity, Andrew also picked up a share of the wooden spoon consolation prize, officially making him both “podium finisher” and “honorary disaster participant.”

England’s 12-goal shipping spree opened the door for a magnificent wooden spoon ensemble, featuring Jayme, that famously dedicated Tunisian fan, whose team also treated “defending” as a lifestyle choice rather than an obligation.

Soon to be 18-year-old Lewis also scooped the princely sum of £4.66, however, after much debate and realising his 18th Birthday is tomorrow, he is not allowed his £4.66 until then.

Between Mark’s suspicious double win, England’s goal leakage, and Lewis’s birthday fund, the TPG World Cup Sweepstake had everything: drama, dodgy luck, and more wooden spoons than a kitchen showroom.

Walking to work at TPG Disableaids in the lovely sunshine this morning, I couldn’t help but stop and admire the new artwork on the iconic Bulmers wall. It’s absolutely fantastic to see such vibrant, beautiful scenes brightening up our local area!
