With many new followers and having had my keepsake memory bears Etsy shop for 6 years I thought I would give some background to me and what I do.
My name is Trudi and after a 20-year career working in schools I decided it was time for a change. With a lifetime of sewing skills behind me, a passion for all things crafty, and an ingenious suggestion from my son, the idea for bearberg bears was sparked.
Over time you collect clothes and hold onto them as they trigger special and precious memories; that first baby grow, school uniform, wedding dress, sports kit, work uniform, or the favourite clothes of loved ones that are no longer with us. No doubt they are just stored in the loft and only come out from time to time?
Why not use those clothes to create something special that you can keep on show all the time and will be an everyday reminder of those special memories.
With a love of designing, creating, and sewing, I put all my skills together to use those pieces of clothing that mean something special to you. From the clothing I create keepsake memory bears that are cherished and loved to preserve those treasured memories and to make them last forever.
All my bears can be personalised in many ways on their paws, including, names, dates, photographs and even hand stitching handwriting and signatures. If space allows then badges, motifs, emblems can also be added to the main body of the bear.
