A group of six friends booked a Tetra Pak course which took place today. Everyone arrived with different experiences of making, different ideas, and their own way of seeing the world, but because they already knew one another there was such an easy generosity in the room. It is such a pleasure when people surprise themselves with what they make…I’m really annoyed with myself for not photographing all of the outcomes ! Thank you guys for bringing such warmth, curiosity and openness to the studio. Days like this remind me why I love sharing printmaking.

I have had some time to reflect, so much has changed in me this year it feels impossible to carry on as things were..,.. last month I was fortunate to be commissioned to paint a beach hut in Herne Bay by which gave me such a beautiful environment to continue my thought process . I wanted it to celebrate the extraordinary diversity of plants, insects and birds that thrive behind the beach huts. The hut is being used as a residence space for artists of all disciplines and three days a week by who are inviting people to meditate , and use other creative mindful practices so it’s a very valuable space for Herne Bay and beyond….

Little pieces of paper the size of a postcard…
Sweet Peas are flowering on The Downs right now and are a sight to behold….
In the Victorian language of flowers the Sweet Pea spoke of departure, gratitude and delicate pleasure… I have noticed that the vibrant pink flowers slowly turn purple blue which is a chemical reaction …the same chemical is in red cabbage and blueberries ! The wonders of nature and the hatred in the hearts of mankind how do they coexist?
