WATERFORD FORAGING WORKSHOP: Introduction to foraging 🌱🌼
Nature's is starting to wake up again, so this is the perfect time to get our baskets ready, and head out to learn about your local wild edibles & plant medicine.
This is the perfect course if you are new to foraging and just want to dip your toes in. Lasting approx 2 hours gives enough time to focus on seasonal highlights, identification tips and sustainable harvesting practices.

Apologies for being so quiet on social media recently!
I've been adjusting to the change in seasons with an extra clingy toddler who's going through every developmental stage & problem possible 😅

I've been spending my evenings stocking the honesty box back up with jams & I'm in the process of getting all the winter must haves made!

Tonight, I've put together some delicious Hawthorn syrup with a tiny bit of sugar & a healthy amount of raw heather honey to add some nutritional benefits as well as flavour.

This syrup is not only delicious, but packed with nutrition & medicinal properties. Especially for heart health ❤️

Perfect for any bug bites, stings, scrapes, minor wounds, splinters, and any irritated skin/ inflammation issues.
This works wonders for my nature loving family! One of us always ends up with a splinter, bite, or cut.

A little goes a long way!

Made with herbal infused organic olive oil (perfect for any skin type) and beeswax.

Herbs: Plantain Leaves, Comfrey, Yarrow, & Lemon Balm.

This account has recently been changed because unfortunately all of my posts were being added to my personal account from Instagram instead of my business account, and I had to delete and update a few things.

My name is Amber and I've recently started my small gifting business, The Healing Forager. I have many years of foraging, herbal medicine, ayurvedic medicine and natural healing behind me.
I've studied ayurvedic medicine, to be a herbal practitioner, and foraging courses, as well as offer forays as private events.

I was going to start up this business in 2023, but fell pregnant with my little nature loving baby and wanted to enjoy the beginning of motherhood without distractions.
She's growing up now, so I'm slowly introducing myself back into real life by opening up an honesty box outside my home.
When I'm not growing organic food, or feeding the robins with my little love, I'm out foraging, and whipping up herbal, medicinal, and delicious nurturing goodies.

My products range from jams, syrups, sauces, to suncreams, bug spray, bite creams, skin products, herbal tea blends and so much more.

I will be attending a meeting at my local WI in Waterford village hall on 7th June, where I can hopefully introduce myself & my business to the community in a bit more detail.

Pine cone bud mugolio in the making.

A type of medicinal syrup that is perfect as a cough syrup for sore throats, cough, and congestion due to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects.
It is also high in antioxidants, so very beneficial for the immune system too.

This syrup is made from a blend of immature pine cones, & organic brown sugar.
It's a long process for delicious medicinal benefits.
This is made by opening the jar to release gases & mixed well every day for a week. Then eventually left for 30 days minimum to infuse and ferment.
Because of the high water content in the pine cones, it turns the sugar mixture into liquid packed with nutrients!
