Tethera, our little coffee shop, is now open! Whilst we're finding our feet, it's a simple but quality offering of drinks and cakes. Open Thursday & Friday 10:00-16:00 and Saturday 10:00-12:00. This is just the beginning, more to follow....

It's definitely feeling like BBQ weather again! We're now stocking charcoal and eco-firelighters from Lakeland Logs & Charcoal. Locally produced from sustainable British hardwood.

It's Volunteers' Week and our thanks go out to all those volunteers who make an incredible difference to the local communities, causes, charities and individuals that they support.

The Hesket Newmarket Community Shop has been created by volunteers, and will grow and succeed because of all those who freely share their time and effort. We're working to build a strong, resilient and hopeful community. Come and join us!

Super event last Saturday, 16 May. Iona Frost Pennington, our Deputy Lieutenant, officially launched the Community Shop and was very impressed by the huge amount of community support.

Diane Hawkins, Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, received and read aloud a personal letter from the King to the residents of Hesket Newmarket.

A great celebration followed, in tribute to all three community-owned businesses. With many stalls, music and entertainment the event went on into the night, and a good time was had by all! 🥳🎂🍻💃🕺
