So, Tabletop Republic are running a Worlds Bonanza event. We will be doing loads of giveaways and side events, and I would like some input from you, the player base.

Namely, what sort of events and giveaways would you like to see. Historically we have had quizzes, Pokemon scavenger hunts, raid battles, Pokecatch, Ditto Draft, Pokemon 20 questions and more.

What I'd like to ask is what YOU want us to run. Open to suggestions, whether it's one we have done before or an entirely new idea.

Learn to play pokemon day at Tabletop Republic - Lancaster.TODAY. 12-3! Bring your kids, your friends, your partners, your rivals, your enemies, your parents, your kidnap victims, your siblings, your boss, your employees, a random stranger. Anyone and everyone is welcolme so come on down and bring someone else to learn pokemon

We at Tabletop Republic have 3 big events upcoming! And a collaboration! And more!
Today, let's focus on our 3 big summer events.
Saturday August 15th 12-3 Trade and Play/Learn to Play event!
An event more focussed on trading than normal, but also, our Professors and volunteers will be teaching how to play. A perfect event for beginners.
Wednesday August 26th 6-8 (ish). Challenge warm up!
Before the return of Premier Events, we are running a tournament! This is a great time to try a more competitive situation for the first time. It will be ran using the same format and rules as an official League Challenge, but with a few extra prizes up for grabs for lower places. More details on that soon.
And last... but certainly not least...
Saturday August 29th 12-4. Worlds Celebration Event!
The Pokemon World Championships weekend is happening and we will ne running an event to celebrate it. We will have several fun activities on to go and on demand, as well as big giveaway events on the hour every hour. Including the revenge of the quizmaster! Think you know your Pokemon knowledge as well as Professor Richard? Prove it.
Regular League sessions will still be on every Wednesday from 5 and the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month!

You know what is a nightmare? Missing out Pitch Black prereleases!
Get it... cos darkrai causes nightmares. And the poster child of this set is mega darkrai... you all get it.
Our prerelseases for the next set, Pitch Black!
This set introduces new Mega Evolutions, including ones that debuted in Legends ZA, and have never been in the TCG before, such as Mega Excadrill, (much to Holly's delight) Mega chandelure and Mega Darkrai ex!!!
We also have some cool new Special Energies and trainers
Our events are slightly different to our normal routine on...
Wednesday 8th july 6PM
Saturday 11th at 2
Saturday 11th at 5.
Sunday 12th at 12 oclock.
As usual, £25 for the full event.
You get a 40 card minideck, including a special promo, and 4 packs. We then have one of the most fun format tournaments, and then you get 3 more packs, all Pitch Black, all before the official release!
All these events have limited spaces, so send a message to the page or respond to this post to avoid disappointment.

TCG as normal, but dont forget to bring your switches down. We can clash in champions, battpe chotically.in ZA. Chill in each others unuon circles in SV. Whatever your game is, we are game too!

Be a Champion!
Let's all have a Champion time! VGC is coming to Tabletop Republic!
Starting THIS Saturday. our Beginners League on the 4th Saturday of the month is adding the Video Games to our roster.
TCG Beginners League will still run as usual, but VGC will ALSO be encouraged.
From 12-2 will be casual play. At 2, I will open the floor to a tournament. If we have 4 or more people interested, we will run a free League Challenge style tournament on Pokemon Champions.
In August we will review attendance and interest, and possibly start running Premier Events for VGC when they restart in September. So come on down, meet fellow fans and help us be ready for VGC Challenges and Cups.

Secondly, we are looking to run some more fun formats and events during the next months. examples are quizzes, pick-a-pack battles, fun minigames and alternative formats for TCG.
If you have any suggestions or requests, please let us know and we will consider running them.

Last but not least, we are still running League as regular including our League Challenge on Wednesday the 29th April and Wednesday 27th May! So come on down and show off your A-game. Or have casual fun any other Wednesday evening!

Ok, a few updates. Let's get the more downer ones today, and a happier couple announced tomorrow.
Some of you may have noticed that stores have begun opening up spots for Chaos Rising prereleases, the next TCG set. We have been very quiet on the matter as due to an admin error from last year, we are unable to run these prereleases.
We have confirmation we will be able to run the next Pokemon set [REDACTED], But this set we will have to give a pass.
Our friends across town at Board and Sword will be running events, as well as Beer and Pretzel in Kendall, and Harlequins and AJ in Preston, so I'd advise reaching out to them for spaces at Chaos Rising prereleases.
Secondly, as has previously been alluded to, ALL CP giving events will be suspended over the summer. There will be no Challenges in June, July or August. We do plan on doing some more fun events, which we will announce next month, and our regular League is unaffected. This affects all Pokemon locations, not just us.
Lastly, we are now requesting all people attending League to download the Play! Acess app, so we can scan the codes from the app at play sessions. This will help us with our reporting and get correct prizing and support from Pokemon. Here is a link for more information on this app.
